Licensing Education

RIBO Level 1 Licensing Program

Ask. Confirm. Document. Do not guess.

Built for candidates, brokerages and MGAs, Principal Solutions Canada Group Inc.’s RIBO Level 1 course offers ten full days (approximately 60 live hours) of live, original curriculum instruction from practising Principal Brokers who work inside Ontario brokerages every day.

Program Overview

Passing the exam is step one. Getting hired and supervised is the rest of it.

A RIBO Level 1 licence is the entry point to insurance broking in Ontario. Passing the exam gives you twelve months to be employed by a RIBO-registered brokerage, and your early career is spent acting under supervision.

PSCG works with brokerages and MGAs on licensing, supervision and compliance. The program is built around what a Principal Broker needs a new Level 1 broker to understand and do on day one.

Designed For

Choose the right route before you enrol.

New Entrants

No insurance background is required, and you do not need to work at a brokerage before taking the course or writing the exam.

Career Changers

Moving from banking, real estate, retail, hospitality or another field? We will help identify potential occupational conflicts before you invest in the process.

Brokerages & MGAs

License new hires on a predictable schedule and receive attendance and completion records suitable for a supervision file.

Licensed Elsewhere

Out-of-province licensees and Ontario OTL agents may qualify for an equivalency route. Ask us which path applies before enrolling.
